SunCoal Industries refines Biomass materials with the CarboREN-process. This offers decisive advantages:

  The CarboREN-Process homogenizes Biomass. SunCoal from biomass is dry, and can be very fine like dust or in the form of hard, water repellent pellets. Mostly independent from the quality of biomass input, we succeed in offering narrowly defined product properties.

  The CarboREN-Process unlocks the energy in the biomass. Our technology increases the availability of usable energy, in particular that of damp biomass. Through this optimized processing only a minimal amount of supporting energy is necessary.

The CarboREN-Process homogenizes biomass into coal dust (carbonization), which afterwards is completely dry. In other words, damp biomass (with a moisture content of 20-60%) with a low heating value is converted into dry coal (moisture content of 8%) with a high heating value. Through systematic energy management within the system, the use of auxiliary energy is minimal.
