Carbon Footprint

Current Situation

the natural co2 process
In many regions a large amount of organic waste is created, for example husks from palm oil mills, wood chips from forestry or straw from agriculture. These usually are left to rot, unused, or burned without any valuable energy use. The only CO2 emitted in this process is that which was absorbed during photosynthesis.

Climate effect: ±0 tons CO2-Equivalent

The modern co2 process in coal power plants
The energetic use of fossil fuels discharges large amounts of CO2 and other harmful greenhouse gases, negatively affecting the climate and contributing to global warming. The overseas transportation of fossil coal to power plants produces further harmful greenhouse gases.

SunCoal Industries New Model

Suncoal helps to reduce overall world co2 emissions
Through the innovative SunCoal Industries CarboREN® technology, biocoal derived from organic waste is used as a substitute for fossil coal for the production of energy and syngas.

As with any use of biomass for energy, the only CO2 released in the atmosphere is that which was previously absorbed during photosynthesis. The CO2 levels stay, as in nature, balanced. Through the use of biocoal as energy, additional climate-damaging CO2 emissions from fossil fuels can be avoided.

SunCoal pellets have a very high energy density, allowing them to be economically transported overseas.
