As one of the two managing directors of SunCoal Industries, Friedrich von Ploetz has responsibility for all of the business and marketing activities of the company with a special focus on sales, business development and finances. Previously, Friedrich was a project manager at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where he supervised projects in the energy, high-tech, chemical and mechanical engineering fields. His consulting focus was on strategic development, finance and business planning. Friedrich received his business degree in Leipzig Graduate School of Management, Germany (Handelshochschule Leipzig), and his MBA, with distinction, from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

Dr. Tobias Wittmann
Dr. Tobias Wittmann, managing director of SunCoal Industries, is responsible for the technical departments of the company, especially technology development. Previously he was the project manager for the French wind energy operator Theolia, and worked at Volkswagen in the research and development department. Tobias received his doctoral degree in process engineering at the Technical University in Berlin, Germany, where his thesis was on the subject of „Modeling of Energy Systems“. He also holds an energy management degree from the University of Magdeburg in Germany.
Ralf Kantsperger
Ralf Kantsberger is responsible for plant construction at SunCoal Industries. Previously he was the managing director of pqm GmbH, responsible for the planning and development of biomass power plants. Previously, Ralf worked for Cambridge Management Consultants GmbH and Fichtner Engineering Consultants (Fichtner Beratende Ingenieure GmbH). Ralf holds a process engineering degree from the University of Stuttgart in Germany.
